your surroundings on an optional tour. Then reboard the
McKinley Explorer for the continuation of your rail journey.
Optional lunch and dinner are available to enhance your
sightseeing experience. Soak in the magnificent views as
you cross the Hurricane Gulch Bridge and glide from one
mountain, forest or river scene to another. Arrive in Anchorage
where the city backs up to a stunning skyline of mountains.
This may be Alaska’s largest and most cosmopolitan city,
but moose are known to wander into the suburbs and true
wilderness is as close as the back door. |

Anchorage/Seward
Step
aboard a luxury motor coach for the breathtaking drive along
the Seward Highway, an Alaska Scenic Byway. Watch for nesting
birds in Potter’s Marsh and beluga whales along Turnagain
Arm as you leave Anchorage behind. Then wander through the
Chugach and Kenai Mountains on your way to Seward on the
shores of Resurrection Bay. You may board your cruise ship
for lunch and then take some time in town to browse the
shops for one last souvenir. Set sail from Seward. |

Reid and Lamplugh glaciers to the mighty Johns Hopkins –

Margerie glaciers while a National Park Service ranger shares
insights into the park’s history and wildlife. And a Huna
Totem native speaker will join the ship to impart the legend

This is the bald-eagle capital of Alaska. Tour the Chilkat
Bald Eagle Preserve, walk the historic fort or take a high-speed
catamaran to nearby Skagway to ride the White Pass &

Today, explore the lush Tongass National Forest or visit
the rustic shops in town. History buffs can browse the Alaska
State Museum. You’ll have the day to explore Mendenhall
