Danube River Cruise Esztergom is one of the oldest cities in Hungary. Approximately 150 years ago the cathedral was built within a period of 30 years. St Peters Cathedral in Rome was used as a model. At the inauguration, Franz Liszt conducted the Graner Mass. It is the largest and most beautiful cathedral in Hungary as well as the third largest cathedral in Europe.

The part Obuda meaning old oven was the part between the hill and the Danube. And Pest on the left-hand side was where most of the population lived. In 1872, these three parts were combined to form a real centre.

Melk, town, northeastern Austria. It lies at the confluence of the Danube and Melk rivers, west of Sankt Pölten. The town was the site of a Roman garrison and was the castle-residence of the Babenberg rulers of Austria from 976 to 1101. The castle and surrounding lands were given in 1111 to the huge Benedictine abbey of Melk (founded in 1089), which dominates the city. The abbey was enlarged and fortified in the 14th century, but most of its palatial buildings date from its Baroque reconstruction (170236).
